Tap below the photo or video in Feed. Tap Add post/video/reel to your story. in the bottom right. Tap Share. You can use the paper airplane icon to bring up the list of ways you can share it. You can share or “repost” it to your story or you can message it to a friend. To repost, tap “Add to Your Story” and then it’ll bring up the editor where you can add any text, mentions, gifs, or icons you want to add.
How to share feed posts to Instagram Stories
- Tap the paper airplane button below the post (like you would to send a direct message)
- You’ll then see an option on the following menu to “Add post to your story”
- Tap it to see the feed post as a sticker with a customized background ready to share to your story.
Privacy Settings: You can only share posts from public accounts. If the person’s account is private, you won’t be able to share their post to your story. Also, if a person has chosen to keep their posts private, you won’t be able to share their content.
